Early departure from Cusco (6:00 a.m.) toward the Sacred Valley, ascending to Abra Málaga with stunning views of snow-capped peaks and glaciers. Then, the route descends into the high jungle, where the landscape shifts to lush forests until reaching Santa Teresa for a short break.
We continue to Hidroeléctrica for lunch before starting a 10 km (about 2.5 hours) walk along the railway tracks, passing through tunnels, jungle scenery, and the Urubamba River. Upon arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo, you’ll settle into your accommodation and enjoy free time to explore the town or visit the hot springs. In the evening, the guide will give a briefing about the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.
