Transnistria is one of Europe’s most unusual destinations, yet even many visitors never discover its remarkable collection of Soviet monumental art. Departing from Chisinau, this private tour brings together more than 30 mosaics and 10 monumental bas-reliefs hidden across Bender, Ghisca, Tiraspol, Blizhniy Khutor and Sucleia. Created mainly between the 1960s and 1980s, these artworks once decorated factories, schools, cultural centres, sports facilities, bus stops and public buildings. While many similar works disappeared elsewhere after 1991, dozens have survived here almost unchanged. No museums, queues or entrance tickets – just a journey through rarely visited cities, industrial districts and villages, exploring forgotten Soviet art with a local guide.

Join a unique painting class where you use wine as a natural painting medium instead of traditional paints. This class is suitable for all levels, including beginners. Guided step by step by an instructor, learn how to work with wine as pigment—exploring techniques such as layering, shading, dilution, and creating depth using different wine intensities. Beyond technique, the experience is calm, sensory, and meditative. As the wine dries and oxidizes, the colors evolve, making each artwork truly unique. It’s a creative process that encourages experimentation, patience, and attention to detail. All materials are provided, including paper, brushes, and selected wines used strictly for painting. Leave with your own finished artwork and a new creative perspective.
