I'm a professional truffle hunter from 3 generations in Alba. My grandfather after the 2nd world war was one of the first truffle hunters in Alba, he taught my father all the secrets about the precious "ipogean fungus" then my father taught it to me. I'm a dog trainer & actually I've got 3 great dogs: Isi, Palli & Lisa. I would like to teach "some' 'of my truffle hunting secrets to travelers. During the tour you will be helped by my friend Margherita. She's an official tourist guide with great passion for truffles and local traditions to translate every part of the hunting.
Occasionally, the truffle hunt may be shared with a few other guests, in order to preserve the delicate environment where truffles grow, endangered by the recent climate changes. 4-hour tour from Alba (or from your nearby hotel), with a tour guide.
