Spirit of Korkyra is a small, family-run business - not a franchise. Boris and Ivka built it from scratch, and Ivka grew up right here in Lumbarda. We time this tour to end golden hour on the water - paddling past Vrnik's old stone quarries and Badija's monastery and free-roaming deer, before finishing at Gubavac as the light turns for sunset. It's the same route as our morning tour, but the light and pace make it a completely different experience. Gubavac itself isn't reached by taxi boats or big group tours, so you get it quiet, with homemade Grk wine from our own family production in Lumbarda and traditional Klašun pastries to end the evening. With a max of 10 guests, we adjust the pace to the group - this isn't a fixed script, it's shaped around who's paddling with us that evening.

Our excursion starts at the view point of Korčula, where you can take a couple of photos. The first vinyards we are going to visit are situated in Lumbarda and are famous for Grk, an autochtonous wine sort.. It is not known whether the name derives from the bitter taste or the old Greeks who settled Lumbarda in the fourth and the third century before Christ bringing their own wine sort. You will have the opportunity to taste Grk at a local winery. Then we drive through the interior of the island, passing the villages of Žrnovo and Pupnat, Pupnatska Luka, one of the most beautiful bays on the island. We continue our trip towards Čara and Smokvica, where you will be able to see vineyards. After the tour through the fields you will get the chance to try Pošip and other wines at two most prominent wineries. On our way to Korčula we will drive along the north-west coast of the island passing a couple of fantastic view points which make an additional proof of how beautiful the island is.

Bird - watching and wildlife photography are passions for many people. Korčula Island has diverse wildlife and this experience gives you a chance to explore it in the company of a local expert. The nature on the island is well preserved and the countryside forests are home to many beautiful creatures, plants and flowers. Among them are: Lesser whitethroat, white wagtail, European robin, hummingbird hawk-moth, European turtle dove, red-backed shrike, cirl bunting, swift, southern festoon, green-winged meadow orchid, emperor dragonfly, common kestrel, scarlet dragonfly, small Indian mungoose and pond terrapin (see the photos please). You are going to see some of them and try to take as many photos as you can. The local expert will be with you all the time and provide experience and knowledge he acquired in many years. Your patience and respect towards nature and your surroundings will be adequately awarded.
