Coffee Tour and Jeep Tour at Finca Mariposa in Jardin
Your coffee journey will start by being picked in our traditional 1954 Willys Jeep. A jeep tour will take you deep into the coffee mountain region. At an elevation of 1800 m you will arrive at Finca Mariposa. Our coffee farm has over 6000 coffee trees and overlooks one of the most spectacular mountain views Jardin has to offer. Your tour will start with an introduction and history of Colombian coffee . You will be equipped with a traditional coffee basket and head into the coffee fields to pick beans as the farmers do. See how much coffee you can pick Walk along the coffee and banana trees. Learn about the coffee tree and how it grows. Then continue into the production, washing -fermenting and drying of the beans . Climb on top of the drying flat bed and see how the beans are dried using natures sun. Finally sit relax . Enjoy a cup of Mariposa coffee with a homemade snack.

We offer an immersive experience at a coffee and bees farm in Jardín Antioquia; Where you will discover the secrets hidden behind a cup of coffee, and all the work that it takes to run an agroecological farming production, working alongside bees and native plants. The activity starts at our farm in the rural neighborhood of La Casiana, where you can easily get to by Tuk Tuk or Jeep, enjoying the coffee cultural landscape along the way; then we get to the farm and start doing all the everyday labors that a farmer does, from planting a coffee seed all the way until brewing a cup of coffee. At the end of the activity you'll be able to tell a high quality coffee from a bad one anywhere you go.
While both practices are based on vertical surface descent, the difference is that Rappel is done in the mountains and Torrentismo in waterfalls. Both experiences are wonderful and only require decision and adventurous spirit, since they are activities where the result depends on oneself.
