Your journey starts with a leisurely cruise along the north shore of Sister Bay, where you’ll witness some of the best man-made beauty this county has to offer. As we approach the towering bluffs of Ellison Bay Bluff Park, keep an eye out for Wisconsin’s largest private home along the bayside bluffs, and the County Park’s famous lookout! As you continue north towards Door Bluff Headland Park and into Gills Rock, we’ll share captivating stories of Northern Door County’s rich commercial fishing heritage, tales of the Lake’s historical shipwrecks, and even the fascinating story of a historic Death’s Door battle. Weather permitting, you’ll get you up close to Plum Island Lighthouse and maybe even catch a glimpse of the old Coast Guard station at Death's Door! Experience an adventure you won’t forget!

This tour takes you along the beautiful shoreline of Peninsula State Park. You will learn about the area's rich history and see sights like Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, built in 1848. The highlight of the tour gets you up close to Eagle Bluff directly below the point where Eagle Tower sits in the park. Here, you'll see evidence of how this body of water was once part of the Silurian Sea by viewing the caves high above in the rock formations. We'll then cruise past Horseshoe Island, known as one of the safest natural harbors in the Great Lakes. While heading back to Fish Creek, we will talk about the 4 Strawberry Islands and the distant Chambers Island.

This tour will take you along historic Cottage Row in Fish Creek where you'll view homes of new and old. The rich history of this waterfront shoreline will display why this stretch of land is some of the most desirable waterfront property in Door County. We will then take the boat off shore to the Strawberry Islands with Chambers Island in the distance. Learn about the camp on Adventure Island that was once a destination for local kids in the summertime. Lastly, we'll get you up close to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. Built in 1848 from Cream City Brick, this beacon was once a key navigational aid to crossing through the Strawberry Channel.

The course is also a perfect opportunity to gain more understanding of your Polish heritage or prepare you for a visit in Poland. I will take you on a tour what my country looks like today. Starting with a short language lesson, I will then cover Polish geography, climate and interesting facts. We will spend some time talking about Polish history, World War II, Solidarity movement and changes that took place in Poland in 1989 and helped the country transition to democracy. Moving on, we will learn about Polish wedding traditions, by watching a video of my brother’s wedding. There are 16 Holidays in Poland, and I will talk about one of the favorites, the All Saints Day. At the end, we will try the famous homemade pierogi and share the recipe how to make them.

This self-guided driving tour takes you through the county’s most scenic landscapes, from Bailey’s Harbor on Lake Michigan to Fish Creek on Green Bay, while you listen to fascinating stories along the way. The tour starts at Anclam Town Park in Bailey’s Harbor. I’ll show you the area where Door County’s settlement began, when Captain Justice Bailey sought shelter from a storm in 1848. As you drive along the peninsula, you’ll travel through historic fishing villages, and visit scenic overlooks perched high above the water. Once you’ve completed a loop of the northern thumb, including stops at Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, and Fish Creek, the tour ends at Wood Orchard Market near Egg Harbor. Along the way, you’ll discover the perfect mix of natural beauty and local culture, and hear some of the stories behind this “Cape Cod of the Midwest.“
