The Qianling Mausoleum is the joint burial site of Emperor Gaozong of Tang and his wife, Empress Wu Zetian, located on Mount Liang in Qian County, Shaanxi Province, China. It is one of the most significant imperial tombs of the Tang Dynasty and a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
Constructed during the Tang Dynasty, it is the only known imperial mausoleum shared by two rulers, one of whom was China’s only female emperor, Wu Zetian.
Qianling stands as a “masterpiece of Tang Dynasty funerary art” and a testament to the political and cultural achievements of the era.
