Le mémorial de la guerre de Corée
The War Memorial of Korea is a large military history museum located in Yongsan, Seoul. It opened in 1994 to honor the soldiers and civilians who sacrificed their lives during the Korean War and other conflicts involving Korea. The museum was built on the former site of the Korean Army headquarters.
The memorial focuses mainly on the Korean War (1950–1953) and helps visitors understand its causes, major battles, and the role of United Nations forces that supported South Korea. Through artifacts, photographs, and multimedia displays, visitors can learn how the war shaped modern Korea.
Inside the museum, several exhibition halls introduce the history of the Korean military from ancient times to the present. Outside, visitors can see tanks, aircraft, and other military vehicles.
The War Memorial of Korea is both a museum and a place of remembrance where visitors can reflect on the sacrifices of the past and the importance of peace.
