Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Depart at 06:00 heading towards Taita, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, you'll visit the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately owned reserve in Kenya's Taita-Taveta County, approximately 220 kilometers from Mombasa. The sanctuary spans 28,000 acres (110 km²) and borders Tsavo West National Park. It is home to a variety of wildlife, including Cape buffalo, African bush elephants, leopards, lions, cheetahs, Masai giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, impalas, waterbucks, Thomson's gazelles, lesser kudus, dik-diks, and numerous bird species.
Following the game drive, you'll return to the lodge and explore the underground tunnel and bunker with ground-level windows, offering close yet safe viewing of animals as they gather at the waterhole for water and salt licks. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Salt Lick Lodge.
