Departing from South Pier, this fast-paced coastal experience heads north along the shoreline towards Scroby Sands, offering sweeping views of Lowestoft, Gorleston-on-Sea, and Great Yarmouth from the water.
As we approach the seal colony, speed is reduced significantly to minimise disturbance, and the engine is typically switched off so the vessel can drift or anchor, allowing time to observe and photograph the wildlife at close range. The sands are home to both grey and common seals, often seen hauled out on the bank or swimming curiously around the boat, alongside a range of seabirds.

Itinéraire
1
Lowestoft Harbour
Depart from Lowestoft Harbour and cruise through one of the East Coast’s busiest commercial ports, supporting the North Sea offshore wind industry. Pass the historic South Pier and, depending on harbour activity, see offshore supply vessels, cargo ships, fishing boats, yachts, workboats, and crew transfer vessels.
0 minute
2
Ness Point
Cruise past Ness Point, the most easterly point of the UK, where the first sunrise in the country can be seen each day. Travellers will also pass the towering Gulliver wind turbine, which at the time of installation was the tallest onshore wind turbine in the UK.
0 minute
3
Corton Beach
Cruise along the coastline past Corton Beach, known for its wide sandy shoreline, cliffs, and quieter stretch of coastline north of Lowestoft. Travellers may spot seabirds, coastal erosion along the cliffs, and panoramic sea views as the vessel passes offshore.
0 minute
4
Hopton on Sea
Pass offshore from Hopton Beach, where travellers can see the weather battered wooden sea defences lining the coast and the remains of former RAF Hopton, a radar base that served in various roles from 1940 until its decommissioning in 1997.
0 minute
5
Gorleston-on-Sea Beach
Cruise past Gorleston Beach, taking in the wide sandy beach, historic Gorleston Pier, and the remains of the White Swan shipwreck, which ran aground off the coast during poor weather in the First World War.
0 minute
6
Great Yarmouth
Cruise past Great Yarmouth Beach and the entrance to the Port of Great Yarmouth, one of the East Coast’s major commercial and offshore energy ports. Travellers will see the long sandy seafront alongside busy harbour activity, which may include cargo vessels, offshore support ships, workboats, and fishing vessels.
Stop at Scroby Sands, home to the Scroby Sands offshore wind farm and a shifting sandbank that supports a thriving wildlife colony. Travellers may see both grey and common seals hauled out or swimming nearby, along with a variety of seabirds, while also viewing the wind turbines rising from the sea just offshore.
