Riche de plus de 1 000 ans d'histoire, le château de Stirling est l'un des sites historiques les plus importants d'Écosse. Son histoire compte certains des personnages les plus emblématiques du pays, tels que William Wallace, Robert Bruce, Marie Stuart et Bonnie Prince Charlie. Cet incroyable château était autrefois la résidence privilégiée des rois et reines Stuart. Après une restauration complète, le château offre une expérience unique avec des personnages en costumes d'époque, tels que gardes du corps, fonctionnaires de la cour et domestiques, qui vous raconteront des informations sur certaines des pièces principales que vous visiterez, vous faisant revivre le XVIe siècle ! Des visites gratuites sont également organisées régulièrement par des guides expérimentés du château, au départ de l'entrée.

A 60 minute drive will take us to the 'foot steps' of the Highlands and the beautiful village of Luss nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond, overlooking the Ben Lomond munro. Apart from stunning views of Luch Lomond, Luss is a place steeped in history, and here you can find an extremely rare Viking Hogback gravestone. There's a couple of gift shops, toilet facilities and places for refreshments.

Only 30 minutes away and at over 800 feet, this mountain viewpoint is a great stop for some beautiful photos of the stunning Highland scenery.

Only a 30 minute drive away is the iconic Inveraray Castle, one of the few castles in Scotland still used as a residence, (Duke & Duchess of Argyle). This is the seat of the Clan Chief of Clan Campbell. Open Thursday to Monday, the castle grounds are freely open to the public (there is a charge if you wish to enter the castle) or there’s Inveraray town with plenty of options for lunch and views of Loch Fyne. The Castle closes for winter from November to March.

A 30 minute drive takes us to Kilchurn castle, used by the English army as a formidable barracks for over 200 years and surrounded by water on 3 sides – a stunning place for photos.

The beautiful Falls of Dochart are located in the wee town of Killin, in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. These cascading rapids are a place of stunning beauty, presenting an opportunity for stunning photos. You will have some time to explore the small village of Killin, including its world-famous Smokehouse.
