Experience authentic Japanese home cooking in a private setting inside a traditional Kyoto machiya. This activity is completely private and designed exclusively for you and your group.
After meeting at the machiya, your instructor Toshiko will guide you step by step through making a classic Japanese bento. You will cook rice using Kyoto’s underground spring water and learn to prepare onigiri, dashimaki tamago, and seasonal side dishes.
This is a relaxed, hands-on experience where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace. The menu can be adjusted to match your interests or dietary needs whenever possible.
