Nugget Point/Tokata Walks
On your tour's visit to Nugget Point, you'll take an easy walk out to the historic lighthouse viewpoint. Get ready for stunning views of the iconic 'Nuggets' rock stacks, the vast ocean, and the dramatic coastline. Keep an eye out for seals and sea lions on the rocks below while you soak in the scenery and capture fantastic photos of this wild landmark.

Roaring Bay
Access involves a short walk down from a nearby car park. Once inside the hide, patience and quiet observation are essential. While sightings are never guaranteed as these are wild animals operating on their own schedule, the hide offers the best, most respectful way to possibly witness these unique penguins in their natural environment. Binoculars are highly recommended to get a closer look if they appear.

Cathedral Caves Walk
Cathedral Caves are a highlight for visitors to The Catlins. Located in cliffs at the northern end of pristine Waipati Beach, they have attracted international interest for their length - the two sea-formed passages together measure just on 200 metres - and their impressive height, up to 30 metres.
