Start Your Day from Mysore
In the morning, you will leave Mysore for your full-day trip. You will meet your driver and guide who will take you to Shravanabelagola first.

Shravanabelgola Jain Temple
Your first stop is Shravanabelagola, a very famous Jain pilgrimage place. Here, you can climb more than 600 steps to reach the top of Vindhyagiri Hill. On the top, you will see the tall 57-feet statue of Lord Bahubali. If you don’t want to climb, you can use a doli service carried by people. Your guide will tell you the spiritual and historical stories about this place.

After visiting Shravanabelagola, continue your drive to Belur, with an en-route stop for a traditional local lunch.
Belur is renowned for the magnificent Chennakesava Temple, a masterpiece of Hoysala architecture. Built in the 12th century, the temple is famous for its exquisitely detailed stone carvings, sculpted pillars, and beautifully narrated scenes from Hindu epics. Belur stands as a symbol of artistic brilliance and cultural heritage, offering a fascinating insight into South India’s medieval craftsmanship.

Temple Beluru Shri Chennakeshava Swamy
The Chennakesava Temple, built in the 12th century by Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana, is one of the finest examples of Hoysala architecture. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Chennakesava), the temple is celebrated for its intricate soapstone carvings and exceptional craftsmanship.
The exterior walls are adorned with detailed sculptures depicting scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Bhagavata Purana, along with finely carved friezes of dancers, musicians, animals, and floral patterns. Inside, the temple features beautifully polished pillars, including the famous lathe-turned pillars, and the elegant Madanika (bracket) sculptures, showcasing the grace and artistry of the Hoysala period.

After Belur drive to Halebidu, the former capital of the Hoysala dynasty, is renowned for its magnificent temple architecture and rich historical legacy.
The Hoysaleswara Temple at Halebidu is a 12th-century architectural masterpiece built by King Vishnuvardhana of the Hoysala dynasty. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is renowned for its incredibly detailed soapstone carvings, depicting scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Puranas, along with finely sculpted gods, goddesses, animals, and dancers.
The temple consists of twin shrines (Hoysaleswara and Shantaleswara) set on a star-shaped platform, allowing circumambulation to admire the carvings from all sides. The precision and depth of the sculptures make the temple one of the finest examples of Hoysala art, reflecting the grandeur and craftsmanship of medieval South India.

Lakshmi Devi Temple
A hidden gem, this 12th-century temple is one of the earliest examples of Hoysala architecture. Unlike the more ornate Belur and Halebidu, the Lakshmi Devi Temple at Doddagaddavalli is simpler yet unique. It houses shrines dedicated to Lakshmi, Kali, and other deities within its compact layout.
