Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Delhi and driven to Jaipur (about 4-5 hours). The city is steeped in heritage, picturesque with exquisite architecture, and vibrant with heroic lore and romance. Upon arrival, check into your hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour of Jaipur. Jaipur is a planned city built in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh, the Hindu Rajput ruler of the kingdom of Amber, later Jaipur. Visit Hawa Mahal, also known as the "Palace of Winds". It was built in 1799 as an extension to the Royal City Palace of Jaipur. It allowed the royal ladies, who at the time strictly observed “pardah”, to be able to watch any processions and activities on the street without being seen by the public.
