Boards rest on the sand while the Sea of Cortez rolls gently onto Costa Azul Beach. Before entering the water, instructors explain paddling, positioning, timing, and ocean awareness while the morning light spreads across San José del Cabo.
Once in the lineup, the experience becomes less about technique and more about rhythm. Between sets, surfers float beside their boards watching pelicans pass overhead while waiting for the next wave. Some waves are soft and forgiving, others push confidence a little further, but the atmosphere always stays relaxed and encouraging.
