Taman Negara Canopy Walkway
The Canopy Walkway in Taman Negara is one of the world’s longest suspension bridges, hanging about 40 metres above the forest floor. It allows visitors to walk among the treetops and experience the rainforest from a unique bird’s-eye perspective. From the walkway, tourists can observe towering dipterocarp trees, tropical plants, and occasionally wildlife such as birds, insects, and monkeys. It is an exciting yet safe experience, offering excellent photo opportunities and a deeper appreciation of one of the oldest rainforests on Earth, estimated to be over 130 million years old.

The trail passes through dense rainforest and takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the summit. At the top, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding jungle canopy and distant mountain ranges, especially beautiful on clear days. Bateq Nigerito Village Taman Negara
A visit to the Batek (Negrito) Village offers a rare opportunity to learn about one of Malaysia’s oldest indigenous communities, the Batek people, who traditionally live as hunter-gatherers in and around Taman Negara. Visitors are introduced to their simple forest lifestyle, including traditional hunting tools such as blowpipes, fire-making methods, and survival skills passed down through generations.
The experience is educational and culturally enriching, providing insight into how the Batek live in harmony with the rainforest and rely on its natural resources for food, shelter, and medicine. Visitors are encouraged to be respectful, as this is a living community rather than a performance, making the visit a meaningful cultural exchange.
