Fragment du mur du ghetto
A significant remnant of Kraków's wartime history, this 12-meter stretch of the original ghetto wall serves as a poignant reminder of the suffering endured by its inhabitants during World War II. Marked by a commemorative plaque erected in 1983, the wall bears witness to the hardships faced by those who lived within its confines and the tragic fate that awaited many as they were transported to the death camps. The inscription, in both Hebrew and Polish, solemnly commemorates their lives and the atrocities committed by the German regime.

La place des héros du ghetto
Located in the Podgórze district of Krakow, Ghetto Heroes Square bears witness to the tragic history of the Jewish ghetto that once occupied this area from 1941 to 1943. During this time, it served as a gathering point for the Jewish population before their deportation to concentration camps. Today, the square features a poignant monument consisting of several dozen cast-iron chairs placed individually. These chairs symbolize the personal belongings and property of Krakow's Jewish residents, scattered on the streets following the liquidation of the ghetto. The monument stands as a solemn reminder of the lives lost and the enduring legacy of the Holocaust in Krakow's history.
