Ancienne ville d'Éphèse
Explore the UNESCO-listed Ancient City of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. Highlights include the Odeon, once used for concerts and performances; the Temple of Domitian, among the earliest temples dedicated to a Roman emperor; and the magnificent Celsus Library, the third-largest library of the ancient world.
You will also visit the impressive Great Amphitheatre, one of the largest in the ancient world with a capacity of 24,000 people, where St. Paul famously preached to the Ephesians. Walk along Marble Street and discover the Roman Baths, fountains, temples, agora, public toilets, the historic Love House, and many other fascinating structures.
For those interested, the Terrace Houses—renowned for their stunning mosaics and wall paintings—are available as an optional visit.

Le temple d'Artémis
Artémis était la déesse grecque, chasseresse virginale et jumelle d'Apollon, qui remplaça le Titan Séléné comme déesse de la Lune.
Le temple antique fut construit vers 650 av. J.-C. pour le culte d'Artémis, sur un site déjà consacré à Cybèle, la déesse mère anatolienne. Financé par le riche roi de Lydie, le temple fut construit sur un terrain marécageux afin de se prémunir contre de futurs tremblements de terre.
Lors de notre visite de la basilique Saint-Jean, nous aurons une vue panoramique sur le temple d'Artémis.
