Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara Wat Chedi Luang, ce temple abrite une immense pagode, haute à l'origine de 85 mètres, partiellement détruite par un tremblement de terre en 1545. À une époque, le Wat Chedi Luang abritait la vénérable statue du Bouddha d'Émeraude, aujourd'hui conservée au Wat Phra Kaew de Bangkok. L'un des éléments architecturaux les plus remarquables du Wat Chedi Luang est son magnifique escalier Naga qui orne la façade de la chapelle.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is Chiang Mai’s most sacred temple, perched on Doi Suthep Mountain overlooking the city. Founded in the 14th century, the temple is famous for its gleaming golden chedi, ornate Lanna architecture, and panoramic views of Chiang Mai. Reached by a grand naga-lined staircase, it is an important pilgrimage site and a must-visit cultural landmark in northern Thailand.

Wat Pha Lat This temple is the ancient precursor (lower on the mountain) than Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. While a little less grand than it's younger sibling, it is steep with history, reverence, and peace. Boasting beautiful views of the city of Chang Mai, it is built on a stream with a series of waterfalls. A terrific place for meditation or simple reflection. Go!!

Porte Tha Phae : Romantique, magnifique, enchanteresse – voilà les trois mots qui résument parfaitement l'une des portes historiques de Chiang Mai : la porte Tha Phae. Lors de la fondation de la ville par le roi Mangrai en 1296, ces portes, ainsi que d'autres (Chang Puak, Chiang Mai et Pratu Soan Dok), protégeaient la vieille ville. La porte Tha Phae, construite en briques rouges, se trouve à l'est de la ville. Concluez votre excursion d'une demi-journée par un retour à votre hôtel de Chiang Mai.
