Kirtipur
After your creative immersion in Paubha painting in Patan, where you’ll learn the origins and symbolism behind this sacred art form, you’ll head to the historic town of Kirtipur. Welcomed in traditional Newari style by your host family, you’ll explore the charming streets and soak in the local atmosphere. In the evening, meet skilled instructors who will introduce you to Ranjana Lipi, an ancient script used in sacred texts. Practice writing with a traditional bamboo pen and ink while learning about the script’s cultural significance. As you scribe something meaningful, enjoy smooth Aila, a locally brewed spirit, and savor Samay Baji, an elaborate Newari platter. It’s a day of purpose, connection, and authentic cultural exchange.
