Taj Mahal
A white marble mausoleum built between 1632 and 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal—a breathtaking symbol of eternal love. It’s the finest example of Mughal architecture, blending Persian, Indian, and Islamic design, showcasing perfect symmetry, elegant domes, and exquisite pietra dura inlays of semi‑precious stones. The main dome rises to about 73 m atop a raised plinth, flanked by four slightly tilted minarets—engineered to fall outward in an earthquake, and protecting the tomb. During the day, the marble changes color—appearing pink at dawn, bright white at noon, and golden‑blue under moonlight—a magical effect due to its translucency.

Fort d'Agra
Agra Fort, often called the Red Fort of Agra, is a majestic 16th-century fortress built primarily of red sandstone on the banks of the Yamuna River. Commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 and completed around 1573, it served as both a formidable military base and the seat of the Mughal Empire during their reign in Agra .Encased within imposing walls stretching approximately 2.5 km and soaring to 21 m high, the fort encloses a “city within a city,” featuring a complex of opulent palaces, audience halls, and mosques built and enhanced by successive emperors Jahangir and Shah Jahan .Among its notable structures are Jahāngīr’s Palace, the Diwan‑i‑Am and Diwan‑i‑Khas halls for public and private audiences, the Mirror Palace (Sheesh Mahal), the Pearl Mosque (Moti Masjid) of white marble, and the elegant octagonal Musamman Burj, where Shah Jahan lived in confinement and gazed longingly at the Taj Mahal until his death

Itmad-ud-Daula
Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb is a stunning Mughal-era mausoleum located on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra. Commissioned by Empress Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628, it was built to honor her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who held the distinguished title Itmad-ud-Daulah (“Pillar of the State”). This “jewel‑box” vault was the first tomb in India made entirely of white marble, showcasing exquisite pietra dura inlay and delicate marble latticework (jalis). Its richly decorated walls feature motifs such as cypress trees, vases, fruit, and wine bottles, presaging the ornate detail later seen in the Taj Mahal .Set within a serene Char Bagh (four‑part Persian-style garden) and flanked by octagonal turrets around its 23 m² plinth, the tomb represented a pivotal shift in Mughal architecture—from sandstone structures to elegant marble masterpieces
