It is the natural portal to the "Telhados d’Água" (Water Roofs), where limestone breathes and rain carves ephemeral shapes.
In this space of balance between man and nature, every step prepares the visitor for what lies ahead: a total immersion into the karst heart of the Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Nature Park.

The Lapa dos Pocilgões, located near Cabeço das Pombas, is one of the most iconic caves in the Estremenho Limestone Massif. Carved over thousands of years by the action of water on limestone, it combines archaeological, geological, and symbolic value.
It has been inhabited since prehistoric times, serving as a witness to the ancient occupation of these hills. Today, visitors find a cavity of great natural beauty.

Praia Jurássica de São Bento
The Jurassic Beach is one of the most fascinating sites in the Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park. Today, it is a dry limestone plain, but about 170 million years ago, it was the bottom of a coastal lagoon where marine animals left their traces behind.
The animals preserved in the rock tell the story of a lost coastline—a shallow, warm sea teeming with life, now etched into the stone forever. It is a place that unites science, imagination, and contemplation, where the visitor can literally walk upon an ancient seafloor.
