Itinerary
1
Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park Visitor Center
The Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park is home to downtown Skagway, the historic Chilkoot Trail, and more! It is a unique national park that spans two states -- Washington (where many gold rushers sailed from) and Alaska (the start of the Gold Rush routes).
2
Denver Glacier
Stop by the overlook for the glorious hanging Denver Glacier on your way up to the beautiful Summit Lake. Its surrounded by glorious old growth forest with the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad running in the foreground.
3
British Columbia
Two for the price of one! We will travel through a portion of British Columbia from White Pass to Tagish Lake, passing by towering peaks, waterfalls, glaciers, alpine tundra, wildflowers, and glacially-carved turquoise-colored lakes, before continuing into the Yukon Territory.
4
Bridal Veil Falls
Watch the cascading waters of Bridal Veil Falls alongside the highway! We will pause for photo opportunities alongside this natural wonder before continuing up to Summit Lake.
5
Yukon
Photo opportunities abound in this wild frontier, the Yukon Territory. The Yukon is home to the beautiful First Nations town of Carcross, nestled at the head of Lake Bennett; the incredible Carcross Desert; mountains towering up to 4,000' above with slopes of aspens; and fields of wildflowers.
6
Fraser Lake
Pass through the town of Fraser, British Columbia, as we check in with Canadian customs before heading to Check out the White Pass & Yukon Railroad station situated in front of the picturesque Fraser Lake.
7
Carcross
We will arrive in the Carcross, a self-governing First Nations community at the head of the beautiful and historic Lake Bennett. Carcross was one of the last re-supply opportunities for Klondikers on their way into the heart of the gold rush. Explore the beach-like shores of Lake Bennett, explore the downtown shopping and art center, and get your passport stamped by this independent governing body at the Visitor's Center!

Bove Island
Thousands of gold rushers passed this island on their way to the Yukon River and untold riches. Bove Island's leeward channel offers protection from the rough waters of Windy Arm. In the late 1890s, thousands of prospectors sailed through Bove Island's waterways here on their way to the Klondike in makeshift boats that they built on the shores of Bennett Lake. Stop here for photos of the Island and Lime Mountain behind.
9
Carcross Desert
An anomaly in an alpine world, the Carcross Desert is considered the smallest desert in the world, measuring approximately 1 square mile. Stop by for photo opportunities and a chance to put your feet in this geological anomaly!
