These squares are famous for their spectacular Seville regional architecture from the early twentieth century, which responds to the historicist, own and exceptional Regionalism in Seville, reliving past with local materials, hand by the great architect Anibal Gonzalez. They have become main tourist attractions of the city. Spain Square has been used as the setting for some movies known as Lawrence of Arabia and Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones.

This park was a part of the private gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo. In this park were built the Spain Square and the America Square on the occasion of the Ibero-American Exposition in Seville in 1929.
