Itinerary
1
Uvita Waterfall
After a 1 hour drive we arrive at the Uvita Waterfalls. Here one can enjoy multiple waterfalls with a natural tobaggon water slide. There is cliff jumping available from various heights as well as beautiful pools to swim in.
2 hours
2
Playa Ventanas
The Playa Ventanas beach caves are unique and impressive. They are located about 30 minutes from the uvita Waterfalls. These 2 caves are about 500 feet long and walking into them is quite an experience. The cave mouths are wide enough for a large vehicle to drive into, so one does not feel claustrophobic. One can body surf the waves in the caves when the tide is right for it. The beach next to the caves is beautiful and the waves are not to rough. We can spend some time in the ocean or on the beach after we experience the caves.
2 hours
3
Portalon
The Portalon waterfalls are a great place to swim and a little low cliff jumping. The river is easily accessible and the water is refreshing. It is located in the middle of the Costa Rican rain forest.
1 hour
4
Dominical
When we stop in the town of Dominical to get lunch, one has the opportunity to do a little souvenir shopping (from some of the best and cheapest vendors in the Central Pacific) as well as stop at a great local Cafe for a dessert and coffee to go (not included in the price of the tour).
