Bir Barouta
Bir Barrouta is a historic and fascinating well located in the heart of the medina of Kairouan, one of the holiest cities in Tunisia.
According to local tradition, this ancient well is connected to the sacred Zamzam well in Mecca, which gives it a special religious significance for many visitors. It is also famous for its unique mechanism powered by a camel that once turned the water wheel used to draw water.

El-Jem
