Kabah is the second most important archaeological site in the region after Uxmal, yet it remains far less visited. Many travelers head straight to Uxmal, often skipping Kabah, which means you’ll usually find only a few visitors exploring the ruins. The city holds historical significance, as it is mentioned in the Chilam Balam of Chumayel, an important colonial-era text documenting Maya history and mythology.
