Poi Kalyan Mosque
The Kalyan Minaret, erected in 1127, is the sole remaining section of the Kara-khanid era mosque constructed by Mohammad Arslan Khan. It predates the Mongol invasions and stands impressively at a height of 45.6 meters. Despite its historical significance, the minaret was spared from destruction by Genghis Khan, who was so impressed by its grandeur that he chose not to order its demolition. Today, it remains a focal point of Bukhara, situated prominently in the Po-i-Kalyan square.

Ark of Bukhara
The Ark, an ancient fortress and royal enclave, represents Bukhara's oldest standing structure, having served as the residence of Bukhara's rulers for more than a thousand years. Its origins are intertwined with the city's early history, dating back to its very foundation. While the exact beginnings of the fortress are obscured by time, it undoubtedly played a central role in the development of the medieval town that grew around it.

Moschea Bolo-khauz
The Bolo Hauz Mosque is situated across from the Ark Fortress, forming a Kosh layout with the two structures facing each other. Its name translates to "above the pool," a reference to the octagonal hauz, or man-made pond, situated directly in front of it. Construction of the mosque began in 1712, during the early years of Abu'l-Faiz Khan's reign (1711-1747), making it one of Bukhara's final and most magnificent architectural achievements before the modern era.
