We travel from Marrakech to Atlas Mountains.

Atlas Mountains
We drive then to Aguerssival village (1,600m), the starting location for the trip. Climb the Tizi n'Aguersssiaval pass on a limited but comfortable path (2,000m). The vista of the magnificent Imnan Valley opens up for the first time from the pass. Between the junipers, little terraced farms slope to the Assif n'Imnane River and the small Berber village of Ikkiss (1,800m). Continuing upstream along the river to Tinerhourhine. Before the ascent to Tizi n'Tamatert, eat a little snack (fruit, dates, nuts, keks) (2,280m).

Imlil
View of Imnane and Imlil Valley from there. Lunch picnic in the pass (salad, tajin, fruit, bread, tea). After lunch, follow the dark trail through the pine grove to Imlil.

Aroumd
A easy path ascends from Imlil to Aremd (1,945m), the final settlement on the way to Toubkal and the location for overnight. Accommodation at comfortable and cosy mountain guesthouse in double rooms. The bathroom and toilets are communal, however they are clean and European. Dinner will be served at the guesthouse.
