Villa d'Este
built by the grandson of Pope Alexander VI in the 16th century, one of the most beautiful palaces and gardens of Italy and perhaps of all Europe as well.
Initiated and commissioned by Cardinal of Ferrara Ippolito D’Este, when he was elected Governor of Tivoli. The entire complex is structured by a geometric system of paths, ramps, and steps altered around fountains, crypts, and arched walkways; it is defined as the peak of European garden concepts. This Villa homed Lucrezia Borgia’s son, famous for its unbelievable beautyful gardens, marvelous fountains, breathtaking waterfalls and centenary trees.
