The Tegallalang Terasering Sawa in Ubud is famous for its beautiful views of the grasslands and its innovative irrigation system. Known as subak, this traditional Bali irrigation system is allegedly inherited by a respected saint named Rsi Markandeya in the 8th century.

Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul is a main temple complex and mountain holy spring in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. This site is the legendary backdrop of the traditional tale of goodness against evil. This site is also a national cultural heritage site.
