Itinerary
1
Sultan Mosque
Our Starting Point and also the heart of Kampong Glam is this 2 century old Mosque. Note the band of circles at the base of the dome; these are glass bottles, add to symbolise that all are equal when they come to prayer
5 minutes
2
Muscat Street
The arches over Muscat street are popular for pictures - from the east side, you can frame up the golden dome of the mosque behind you.
3
Gelam Gallery
The 2 back alley lanes of Gelam Gallery are an experiment in a free gallery of street murals painted by local urban artists: the murals evolve from year to year.
4
Arab Street
Arab Street has been part of Kampong Glam since it's beginning; visitors can browse and purchase fine fabrics from the wide selections on offer.
5
Haji Lane
Declared "the most instagrammable street in the world" by the New York Times, from mid-afternoon until night, this is where visitors flock for selfies.
