The whole area is boiling and steaming from geothermal activity so make sure you follow the restricting walking trails. How ever Strokkur is the new Geysir and it spouts every 4-10 min and is quite impressive.

Gullfoss (Golden waterfall) is a 32m two cascade waterfall that falls in to the river Hvítá. The waterfall is one of the most famous waterfall in Iceland probably for the fact it was almost sold to an English man back in the time, but a young woman fought hard to keep it. You get to walk very close to the fall and perhaps see a rainbow decorating it.

Kerid Crater
The crater Kerið was formed about 6,500 years ago and lies at the northern end of a row of craters known as Tjarnarhólar. It is oval, about 270 m long, 170 m wide and 55 m deep: the depth of the water at the bottom varies between 7 and 14 m. According to an old tradition, a rise in the water level here is accompanied by a corresponding fall in the pond on Búrfell in Grímsnes and vice versa.
