Our hike up Table Mountain via Kasteelspoort begins at Kloof Nek car park, approximately 200 metres above sea level. In the early morning, the mountain provides welcome shade, making this route an excellent choice on hot summer days.The adventure starts along the famous Pipe Track, a scenic contour path traversing the western slopes of Table Mountain above Camps Bay. This relatively easy section offers spectacular views of the Atlantic coastline and Lion’s Head. After about an hour, we leave the main trail and turn onto a narrower path that climbs diagonally beneath the dramatic Twelve Apostles.
