Itinerary
1
Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Also know as Khowpa, Bhaktapur is an ancient city to the east of Kathmandu. Lying along the ancient trade route between India and Tibet, the city of culture and heritage is filled with monuments, palaces and temples with elaborate carvings, gilded roofs and open courtyards. Bhaktapur even to this day retains its medieval looks with well-preserved palaces, courtyards, temples and old city center.

Indreshwar Mahadev Temple
On the confluence of the Rosi and Punyamati rivers, Panauti’s medieval town continues its culture, traditions, and prestige just as it was in the 13th century. Once a major trading centre with its own royal palace, Panauti has a thriving new area with modern buildings alongside peaceful serene well preserved old town.
Panauti as a tourist heritage site has a lot to offer with so many temples, stupas and statues with the added serenity of green hills and paddy fields. This small town near Kathmandu retains much of its charm and reflects a much more relaxed pace of life.
