Cusco – Mollepata – Challacancha – Soraypampa

SORAYPAMPA
We start this Andean adventure leaving Cusco at 5:00 a.m. bound for Challacancha (3,400 m), passing through the picturesque town of Mollepata. In Challacancha we meet with the muleteers and begin one of the most spectacular trekkings in Peru. The hike runs through a beautiful valley surrounded by the towering snows of Humantay and Salkantay. We finished the day at their first mountain camp in Soraypampa (3,700 m).
Optional activity : In the afternoon, we recommend walking to the stunning Humantay Lagoon, famous for its turquoise waters and panoramic views. The journey from Soraypampa to the lagoon (4,220 m) takes approximately 3 hours round trip.
