Itinerary
1
Belize City
This tour begins in Belize City. After pick-up, our guests will be given a brief tour of the north side of Belize City as they make their way over to the howler monkey sanctuary. They will be able to see a few landmarks and educational institutions. This city tour will then be continued on the south side upon returning from the sanctuary. Besides the landmarks and historical buildings, the guest will be driven through downtown Belize City and get to see the beautiful faces of the Belizean people as they go about their daily lives. This is a great opportunity to experience the country's rich cultural and natural history.
2
Belize District
As the tour makes its way to the Sanctuary, it will be passing by the historical Belize River, which was once used as the mode of transportation by the Mayas and later by the British settlers to move their mahogany logs out of the rainforest. The tour continues passing through other villages that were first created as mahogany camps, as they make their way to the Howler Monkey Sanctuary. These villages are located along the Belize River and offer a stunning view of the Belize district.

Community Baboon Sanctuary
Upon arrival at the howler monkey sanctuary, the guest then gets a chance to use the restroom. Thereafter they are handed over to the site guide who will take over the tour. He begins by welcoming the guest and providing detailed information about the sanctuary inside the museum. They will then make their way onto the trails in the rainforest to get to see these fascinating black howler monkeys in their natural habit. Accompanied by their site guide they also will learn about many of the plants that are used traditionally as herbal remedies. They will get to take pictures if they wish. I great activity to learn and see one of the country's protected wildlife.
