Die Halde Rheinpreussen
Climb the iconic Halde Rheinpreußen, a former mining spoil heap topped with a striking red mining lamp sculpture. From the summit, enjoy sweeping panoramic views across the Lower Rhine landscape—one of the best vistas in the region and a powerful symbol of its industrial heritage.
This stop includes an uphill walk on Halde Rheinpreußen. The path is wide and well-maintained, but it has a steady, yet moderate incline and a few gravel sections. Suitable for all guests with normal mobility / fitness; not recommended for wheelchairs or walkers.

Orsoy, Germany
Arrive in Orsoy, a historic riverside town once fortified against attacks. Walk along the Rhine embankment, pass the old floodgate and remaining fortification structures, and explore the cozy historic center.
