Tskhrajvari also holds religious significance. A small church sits atop the mountain, making it a popular destination for Georgian Orthodox pilgrims. This unique combination makes Tskhrajvari a great spot for both nature lovers seeking breathtaking vistas and those interested in experiencing Georgian religious sites.

Church is built in the 11th century. This is a rare case, when such ancient building has not undergone major changes during all this time. . The dome of the temple is preserved in its original form. Nikortsminda Monastery has been included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
