We end the walk at National War Memorial which is dedicated to all the service personnel who lost their lives while fighting for India.

Darshan Museum
The walk starts at Darshan museum. It is a unique biographical museum dedicated to the Life and teaching of Sadhu Vaswani, a spiritual leader. Sadhu Vaswani professed the need for love and reverence for the betterment of humanity. It is a modern museum that uses multi media technology to tell the story of Sadhu Vaswani and his teachings. Upliftment of women and animal rights were 2 causes very close to his heart. In fact, November 25, Sadhu Vaswani’s birth date, is celebrated as the International Meatless and Animal Rights Day.

ISKCON NVCC Temple
We walk to the temple run by a unique institution called The International Society for Krishna Consciousness. ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Its core beliefs are based on select traditional Hindu scriptures, particularly the Bhagavad-gītāand the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. ISKCON was formed to spread the practice of bhakti yoga, in which those involved (bhaktas) dedicate their thoughts and actions towards pleasing the Supreme Lord, Krishna. ISKCON today is a worldwide confederation of more than 550 centers. We will visit the magnificent temple here.

We head to MG Road, the most famous street in Pune. Food stalls, entertainment, and shops make this a haven for shoppers as well as window shoppers.

National War Memorial Southern Command
The National War Memorial s considered to be the only war memorial of South Asia that was constructed by raising funds from public. It is dedicated to the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen who laid down their lives defending the country since Independence. Two memorable exhibits here are a model of naval ship INS Trishul and a MiG 23 aircraft.
