After meeting your guide you head first to Villers-Bretonneux and spend the morning uncovering the history of the Australian force in the dark days of the 1918 German Spring Offensive. After lunch, we move on to the Battle of the Somme. From trenches to memorials we will guide you through the planning and execution of this infamous campaign.

Sir John Monash Centre
You will be able to immerse yourself in the actions of the Australian forces in WW1 in this interactive experience. Admission is free but you will need a phone/audio device and earphones/buds to connect to the interactive portion of the exhibits.

Adelaide Cemetery
Learn about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commision and pay your respects to the fallen. You will also see the original burial site of Australia's unknown soldier.

Australian National Memorial
Standing on the ground of the Australian Memorial, your guide will tell you about the part Australia played in this area during WW1.
Should you wish you will have time to climb the steps of the Memorial and look out on to the ground where Austrilians showed great bravery.

This visit takes in the sites around the Victoria School and its connections to Australia and the state of Victoria.
This is a flexible visit and time can be allowed on discussion with the guide to visit the museum.

Lochnagar Crater
A must see site on the Somme "The largest crater made by man in anger" Unlock some of the history of the Battle of the Somme as you walk around this scarred landscape.

We visit the village of Pozieres and its sites to learn about the actions of the Australian forces in the summer of 1916.

AIF Mouquet Farm Memorial
We take time to stop and see the memorial plaque to commemorate the Australian force's attacks here.

Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial
We finish our day by following in the footsteps of soldiers by walking through the preserved trenches of this memorial park.
