Chichen Itza
Welcome to Chichen Itza which means "the city on the edge of the well of the Itzaes" in the Mayan language. Chichen Itza has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and Wonder of the World since 2007. It was a political and cultural center of Mayan civilization, known for its monumental architecture and mysticism; it is also one of the best preserved testimonies of Mayan civilization.
