Obidos
Conquered from the Moors in 1148, Óbidos has remained under Portuguese rule since then, this small village had in medieval times just over 150 inhabitants who lived mainly from agricultural activities, the small fortified village was used as a wedding dowry for successive queens who managed it, taking from there their financial benefits. Today Óbidos is a picturesque village with a romantic and intimate air that transports us to medieval times with a touch of modernity, tourism is now its livelihood.
