Ajman Museum
With an interesting collection of artifacts from different eras preserved in a beautifully restored fort, the Ajman House Museum is one of the emirate's most visited historical attractions. In the 18th century, the fort served as the ruler's residence until 1970. A decade later, the fort became a museum. In the museum there is a section dedicated to the pearl trade that once dominated the region's economy. One of the most notable exhibits is the pottery and funerary jewelry dating back to 3000 BC. The fort itself is the finest example of traditional Emirati architecture.
