The Grand Islamic mausoleum in Rabat was built between 1961 and 1971, following the death of King Mohammed V in 1961. The mausoleum was designed by the Vietnamese architect Nguyen Viet Thu, and construction was carried out by Moroccan artisans and craftsmen. it features impressive Islamic architecture, intricate marble work.
