Humantay Lake
Your adventure to Humantay Lake begins early in the morning with pick-up from Ollantaytambo or Urubamba at approximately 4:00 AM. Travelers staying with reach along the Anta route may also request pick-up depending on the itinerary.
From there, you will travel through beautiful Andean valleys and traditional villages toward Mollepata, where you will enjoy breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike.
The hike to Humantay Lake takes about 1.5 hours, offering spectacular views of glaciers, mountains, and high-altitude landscapes. Once at the lake, located at 4,250 meters above sea level, you will have time to explore, take photos, and admire the stunning turquoise waters beneath the impressive Salkantay Mountain.
After enjoying the scenery, you will hike back to Soraypampa and travel to Mollepata for lunch before returning in the afternoon to Ollantaytambo or Urubamba, where the tour ends.
