JIm Thompson: American CIA agent in World War II, who settled in Bangkok in the xxs, and revived the Thai silk industry and made it world famous. Also an art collector. He disappeared in a mysterious way during his stay in Malaysia in the 1960s, never explained. Today his teak house is a museum about his life and his art.
