Temple of Poseidon
After all that swimming, enjoy the relaxing 40 minute drive along the glorious Athenian coast to our next destination. Built by the Athenians in the 5th century BC to honour Poseidon, the sea god, this temple stands on top of a hill next to crystal clear waters. You are free to explore the site at your own pace, marvelling at the beauty of the ancient Greek civilisation and the natural beauty of the scenery. You have another chance to enjoy the local scenery on our return to Athens (around 1 hour 10 minutes’ drive).
