Meteora
Agios Stefanos is the one that has the easiest access, Great Meteoron is the biggest of them all, Roussanou Nunnery (400 steps are involved) and Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas are smallest monasteries, but outstanding choices. Varlaam Monastery (closed on Thursday and Friday) is the one with the best view, while Agia Triada is the 3rd oldest of all at a height of 535m.
IMPORTANT ΝΟΤΕ: You must follow the dress code- Women have to keep covered their shoulders and wear skirts above their pants or wear a long dress/skirt. We always recommend to carry your own skirt or cover-up. As for men, they have to wear long pants. The entrance is forbidden to those who don't follow the dress code.
